I think if this attraction had more staff and more funds and frankly more land to work with, this could be a great educational experience for people to enjoy. I was told many of these were rescues, for example a lot of the aquatic animals and that is fantastic but quality of life for each and every one of those animals is important and needs to be addressed.

I get it though, if that’s the case then it’s probably exhausting for the two staff members we met the day we went. Wild Animal Safari Springfield/Strafford has a full restaurant, free parking, large gift shop and over 250 acres where guests can get up front, close to, and feed many exotic wild animals. Our tour guide was very kind and informative and you could really tell that he loves and cares for all of the animals here but the neglect in terms of clean enclosures, clean water available (every water tank was disgusting) and just the overall look of some of the animals makes me think that this place is thoroughly underfunded and understaffed. This place is tiny and lacks the space needed to try and give off the impression that the well-being of these animals is of the upmost importance. However, we strongly recommend arriving at least 2 hours before close so that your party has the opportunity to see the entire park. I want to love this place but it’s really hard to not feel at least a tiny bit unsettled when seeing these animals and their enclosures.
